INSLEE GEARS UP FOR THIRD TERM

BELLEVUE – Chairman Heimlich released the following statement after Governor Inslee indicated he will run for a third term.

“Jay Inslee’s tone deafness rose to a new level over the weekend after telling Politico, ‘I have not established any particular day. The presumption is, if I was not chosen to help the country, I will maintain a healthy state of Washington‘ in reference to running for a third term.”

“If Governor Inslee actually cared about the people of Washington State and our vulnerable communities, why would he abuse the public trust and waste $4 million of taxpayer resources funding his personal political ambitions?”

“Governor Inslee could do his part to maintain a healthy Washington by following the lead of Montana Governor Steve Bullock and repaying the taxpayers the cost of his personal security.”

“Governor Inslee is dead wrong if he thinks he can ignore his job and the hardworking people of Washington State, then come back after a failed vanity run for the White House like nothing happened.  His dismissive and condescending attitude towards Washington voters has not gone unnoticed. His desperate attempts to appeal to the far-left base of the Democratic Party have shown where his priorities are – and it’s not this Washington.”

“After years of misplaced priorities and fledgling leadership, Jay Inslee clearly doesn’t want to be Governor, so the voters should hire someone else.”
