Bellevue—Due to massive crowds, the Washington State Republican Party (WAGOP) is moving a VOTER ID INITIATIVE Super Signing Event, originally scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20th in Bellevue, to Meadow Shelter in Sammamish State Park. “Scott Pressler is drawing big high-energy crowds everywhere he goes in Washington. It’s standing room only and overflowing venues,” says WAGOP Chairman Rep. Jim Walsh. “These crowds speak to how well Presler’s message of reforming and restoring trust in our elections resonates with the people of this state. Requiring Proof of Citizenship when people register to vote is a central part of that message. And a critical step in fixing what’s broken in Washington. I expect to see lots of people on Thursday.”
Since Sunday, Presler, the founder of Early Vote Action, a grassroots movement to register Republicans, has been crisscrossing Washington state to promote and galvanize support for Initiative Measure No. IL26-126, a citizen-led effort that would require Voter ID and Proof of Citizenship to vote.
With some 2.4 million followers on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Presler, a force of nature, was praised by Vice President JD Vance, recently, for his tireless efforts to register Republicans to vote.
A string of super signing events began on Sunday, Nov. 16th and runs thru Thursday, Nov. 20th. There are nine events spread over five days. Please see the list below for times and locations and continue to visit us on X and Facebook for any updates.
“Scott Presler inspires people to participate, but also to improve our election systems,” says WAGOP Chairman Jim Walsh, the initiative’s author and sponsor. “That’s what the Washington Voter ID Initiative does. And that’s what Presler is doing by supporting this initiative.”
“There are 26 states that have citizen-initiated measures to get voter ID on the ballot or provide for election security,” Presler posted on X recently.
Efforts nationwide align with the Trump Administration’s executive order Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.
“Scott Presler’s visit brings the energy we need to push the Voter ID Initiative across the finish line,” says WAGOP Political Director Matt Brown. “We are fixing our election system, restoring trust in every ballot, and moving full throttle. All gas, no brakes. We will get this done.”
The goal is to collect 350,000 signatures by December 31st.
